On a Mission
A mountain is a large landform that stretches above the surrounding land
in a limited area usually in the form of a peak. A mountain is generally
steeper than a hill. The adjective montane is used to describe mountainous
areas and things associated with them. Tom Bicksler has always had a true
passion for the Mountains, conquering the 7 summits will only add to his
love and respect for the mountains of the world.
Summiting all 7 has been a long term goal and now that I am Diabetic it
will only make the challenge that much tougher!

2012 is the kick off for Bicksler 7 with several training climbs, such
as the Mt. Whitney "mountaineers route", Mt. Baldy, San Gorgonio, Mt.
Shasta,
Mt. Rainier, and the first of the seven; Kilimanjaro!
As Ed Viesturs has said, "Getting to the summit is optional. Getting
back down is mandatory".
